Join, Evangelizing 21st Century

Won’t you evangelize and win souls for God in this 3rd Millennium of the 21st Century? Suppose we make a comparison of the two eras—the present-day and Pentecost at the upper room.

What has changed, or is anything lacking nowadays?  Is it the content of the bible…or …zeal…?

The content of the bible is the same, but I hope we are not changing the sincerity of our hearts towards God.

Luke 10:2

And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.

Personal story here:

Let me give you an insight into a personal experience while I was on a 3days personal evangelism in Ota, Ogun State.

16th of September, 2020 (my second day) at 2 am while I was sleeping in a place. I had a dream, and I may dream I saw an ancient military personal beating a man whom I understand to be Christ in that dream.

The soldiers had whipped and beat him on the face and every part of His body. The whip is like the one used on horses.

As they were beating Him, they made Him walk to a destination. On that way, I saw a stream of water flowing within the rocky mountain and pathway through the valley. Everywhere stained with His blood which was spilling and staining the rocks.

Then, I saw them; they tied Him with a rope to a chariot in motion as the horse was moving to drag Him on the ground.

This was what I saw, a different version from the one watched on tv or cinema. It was a personal encounter I had about the pain and suffering Christ endured for my sake and you. It was a privilege for me to have seen this.

Why did I share this dream today?

Who you are or where you come from does not matter, but the commitment to God’s command matters a lot to God. When we act to God’s order He relates in proportion to the level of our relationship with Him.

God wants to show and perform His signs and wonders through all believers. If we can submit ourselves to His will.

God always back His words and will ever do.

You see the dream I had related to me personally just what I needed at that time to keep my zeal pumping. Salvation is an individual race. Yes! God communes with everyone individually and differently most times, the same purpose though.

 soul-winning is God’s business

If Jesus Christ, says, that “it is business”.  How it is that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my father’s business? – Luke 2:49

I ask myself, what is the father’s business?

Oh! Here we go again…another parable of Jesus Christ, clue…clues Hanh!

Could it be that God has some kind of business venture we are yet to know?

Oh…Nay!

Soul-winning is the business God has commissioned. His children all over the world must do diligently. Matthew 28:16-20

The Great Commission

16 But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated.

17 When they saw Him, they worshipped Him; but some were doubtful.

18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Verse nineteen express it as an action with the word, “GO”. It not just an instruction, but it is a command. Recall what God said, about obedient to His words in the bible?

Obedience – Romans 16:26

but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith;

Obeying, God is an obligation and not just mere words. Everyone that does it has great rewards from God. Reward here on earth and bounty in heaven  Exodus 19:5 –

‘Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine;

But the only condition attached is “if you obey me fully and keep my covenant”.

Jesus obeyed God fully and kept God’s covenant till date see what has become of Him (Christ) today.

What does it mean to obey God fully?

Jesus Christ prayed to God for exemption of His crucifixion in Matthew 26:39. He agreed on latter to obey fully when He said, yet not as I will, but as you will. How many of us are obeying God fully today?

Philippians 2:8 – A broken child of God will be willing to obey fully. He humbled himself even until death. Humility is required to attain God’s glory as you can see what happen to Him after His suffering on the cross. You and I need to be broken. A life of humility is compulsory – Proverbs 22:4.

You are subject to who you obey. Who do you follow? Christ knew this in John 14:30 when He said the ruler of the world is coming and he has nothing in me. If we fail to obey God fully, then you’ll abide by the devil.

Why soul winning is the business of God?

God is love: John 3:16 since the time of the old testament. In the garden of Eden, even after the fall of man. God’s love persists until today. Ephesians 1:1-23 Apostle Paul buttress what God did even before creation. In his love He predestined us through Christ for His will; so do you see why it is God’s business? 2 Peter 3:9 The business of God is that all race and nation repent of sin and come back to Him. Sin leads to death – Romans 6:23.

There is an assignment for you. Every human being on earth has an obligation from God. Imagine that Judas Iscariot’s task is to deny Christ. Wow! Come to think of it if he had never done it, then how our redemption will come?

Our function differs even after we have been born again and become a disciple of Christ – Romans 12:1-21.

Take action today, and preach the word of God everywhere and anywhere.

Romans 10:12-15

For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

13 for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him, whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?

15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news of good things!”

Shalom!
